According to Pocket Gamer, Sony said that developers are impressed with Xperia Play. And right now, it'll focus on making the gaming experience better.
The interesting thing is that while Xperia has received good reviews, I don't think it's been the hit that Sony was hoping for. It likely has raised the Xperia profile among Android users, however.
It'll be interesting to see if Sony continues this experiment. And it is an experiment. As for dual-core CPU for Xperia 2, well, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm pretty sure it'll happen though.
