ASUS Transformer Tablet May Have Found Success Where Others Have Failed

According to BGR, shipment of Asus' Transformer Honeycomb tablet has continued to ship at a rate of 400K a month.  This would mean that the tablet from the Taiwan PC maker has found some success where others like RIM's Playbook, Touchpad, and Xoom has largely failed to catch on with consumers.

I reckon the big draw is the low-low price point and Asus working on its home turf markets.  It's uncertain if this can translate into longer term success.  We'll have to wait and see.  But this does give iPad competitors hope.  Sometimes, they need to take the market differently.

And yeah, the Transformer coming in at $400 really really helps.  And It'll really help me if this means I'll be able to find one for $300 around Black Friday.

Note:  We'll have to wait and see if this pans out since Boy Genius Report's source is the often wrong DigiTimes. I should have known.
